General Summary
Equabli is looking for a talented Database Lead, to help reimagine and reinvent how collections and recoveries are done in the US. Reporting to the Delivery Manager, you will be a part of a passionate talented team that is growing and be responsible for achieving the team’s roadmap goals.

This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate database leader who has previously worked at tech scale-up or disruptor (or who has equivalent experience), leaded significant growth and knows what to expect from the challenges of a scaling company / start up.

We work in an agile fashion, small cross functional squads, with daily stand-ups and fortnightly retrospectives. You’ll bring new ideas and become an integral part of the process of continuously improving our product.

We are seeking an experienced Database Lead, to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading database professionals and overseeing the implementation and maintenance of database implementation across products. You will play a critical role in ensuring the database best practices and standards in Equabli.

Key Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of database engineers, providing guidance and support in the execution of database development.
• Logical Architecture: Understanding business cases, users expectations and make sure the database structure is fulfilling the application functional and non-functional requirements.
• Database Development: Ensuring creation of tables, views, stored procedures, functions, index, sequence etc. are completed in time with quality.
• Access Control: Ensuring the access control has been implemented on all the databases based on minimal role to fulfil the duty.
• Performance Optimization: Periodic monitoring of database performance from application batches and UI by logging execution time.
• Security, Compliance, Audit: Ownership of database security, compliance policy and handling internal/external audit.

Must Have :
RDBMS: At least one or more RDBMS concept with implementation knowledge including query and other objects.
Logical Design: Strong business understanding and logical design decisions by considering functional and non-functional requirements.
Development: Must have working knowledge of various DB storied Procedures, DB functions, DB Sequence, DB Index, DB Views etc.
Optimization: Performance optimization by rewriting queries, recommending indexes by considering performance throughput and access path.
Access Management: Access control of various roles by considering minimal access to fulfil respective duty.
Security: Various security implementation to hide unnecessary details from end users by encryption/decryption, encoding/decoding, obfuscation etc.

Good-to-Have Skills:
Physical Design: Understanding of database storage, Geographic Location, Availability Zone, backup instance, restore process
Compliance & Audit: Need to make sure the infrastructure and database policies are implemented and can handle internal and external compliance audit.
NoSQL Database: Good to have at least one NoSQL database.
ETL: Good to have data synchronization knowledge between same or different database structure. Any tool to accomplish homogeneous/heterogenous data synchronization.
Reporting Tools: Knowledge of at least one world-class reporting tool for showing details or summary information.
Analytics Knowledge: Working experience of a project with analytics and any analytics tool.
Experience : 7-10 years of experience
Education : Bachelor’s degree on computer science, information systems, information technology or related disciplines
