About This Role
We are looking for a candidate who will be working with the Financial Controllership (FC) team. The candidate will get exposure in monthly financial reporting duties, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and such other duties reasonably determined from time to time by the FC.
Reporting to the financial controller, the successful candidate will be exposed to the various aspects of finance operations and controllership function. S/he will be expected to manage various group projects including implementation of new processes and tools and reviewing/updating company policies.
As a Finance Internship for Controllership, your key objectives will be to:
- Assist in month-end closing and group consolidation for assigned accounts
- Financial reporting and analysis using Oracle Fusion tools and applications
- Perform bank reconciliations, prepare balance sheet schedules, reconcile intercompany balances and transactions
- Participate in annual/quarterly compliance activities including tax and audit
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- To work on special projects such as implementation of new processes, systems/tools and researching on IFRS compliant accounting treatments for new business arrangements.
- Perform any other duties and assist with other financial functions as required
Job Requirements:
- Has a strong aptitude for problem-solving, decision making through data analysis and troubleshooting issues with the ability to organize and prioritize work
- Is Comfortable with Powerpoint and Excel
- Has the ability to collaborate across functional teams and communicate ideas clearly.
- Is able to commit to a full-time internship and can start by August 2024 - February 2025.
