Role Overview:
We are looking for a Lead Full-Stack Engineer to take ownership of the entire application development lifecycle at Bynd. This role is not just about writing code—it’s about leading a team, setting the technical vision, and driving innovation to build a world-class product. You’ll work closely with our founding team to shape the future of our platform, with the opportunity to grow into a key leadership position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and Develop: Lead the architecture, design, and development of Bynd’s SaaS platform using NestJS, NextJS, PostgreSQL, Python (for AI/ML services), and Azure cloud stack.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing engineering team, mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and ensuring best practices are followed.
• Technical Vision: Set the technical direction for the platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance across all layers of the stack.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product management, design, and AI/ML teams to integrate advanced features and ensure a seamless user experience.
• DevOps: Oversee the deployment pipeline, optimize cloud infrastructure on Azure, and ensure smooth CI/CD processes.
• Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends, continuously bringing fresh ideas and approaches to the team.
• Problem Solving: Tackle complex technical challenges, from performance optimization to AI/ML integration, and deliver solutions that meet our high standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of full-stack development experience, with a strong background in NestJS, NextJS, PostgreSQL, and cloud computing (Azure preferred).
• Leadership: Proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams, with a track record of delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Skills:

• Backend: Deep expertise in NestJS, Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
• Frontend: Proficiency in NextJS, React.js, and modern frontend development practices.
• AI/ML Integration: Experience working with Python services for AI/ML, including integrating models into production systems.
• Cloud: Strong understanding of Azure cloud services, including functions, storage, networking, and security best practices.
• DevOps: Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager.
• Problem Solver: Ability to break down complex problems into manageable components and design scalable solutions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Start-Up Experience: Prior experience working in a startup environment or on a small, fast-paced engineering team.
• Financial Services: Knowledge of the financial services industry, particularly in working with unstructured and semi-structured data.
• Machine Learning: Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and experience deploying machine learning models in production.
