Connectome's objective is to become the category leader in personal brain health and prevention by using best in class technologies to provide consumers with unparalleled insights into their brain's unique fingerprint (its Connectome).
Founded by a industry leader with a track record of commercial success and fundraising, we have secured a research partnership with a world leading university and are now looking for a talented CTO to join as a co-founder to help lead and build our front and back end software and data pipeline.
This is a groundbreaking proposition with the potential to disrupt the way people monitor and manage their cognitive, mental and brain health and so we're looking for someone not afraid of a challenge.
All experience is welcome but it would be beneficial to have knowledge of building applications in a clinical environment with strict compliance requirements though not a minimum requiremenrt. Compensation will be equity-based until our planned pre-seed raise in 3-6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Define and implement the technical strategy and roadmap in alignment with the company’s goals.
- Product Development: Lead the development of our core product, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team.
- AI/ML Integration: Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models and algorithms to enhance product capabilities.
- Full Stack Development: Oversee the entire technology stack, ensuring seamless integration of front-end and back-end systems.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous innovation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other co-founders, stakeholders, and partners to align technology with business objectives.
- Quality Assurance: Implement robust testing and quality assurance processes to ensure product excellence.
- Security: Ensure that all systems and data are secure and compliant with relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in a full stack engineering role, with significant exposure to AI/ML technologies.
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java) and frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js, Django).
- AI/ML Skills: Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and knowledge of data science principles.
- Leadership: Previous experience in a leadership role, preferably in a startup environment, with a track record of building and leading engineering teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications or advanced degrees in AI/ML are a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
