Role: Applied Research Engineer - AI/ML
Location: Remote/Flexible

Responsibilities:
- Applied: Conduct advanced research in AI and machine learning to develop innovative algorithms and models, with a focus on applying exisitng ML findings to business use-cases.
- Prototyping: Design and implement prototypes to validate research hypotheses and demonstrate the feasibility of new approaches.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers, to integrate research outputs into production systems.
- Publication: Contribute to the scientific community by publishing research papers, presenting at conferences, and collaborating with academic and industry partners.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML, and identify opportunities to incorporate new techniques and technologies into Vinci’s products.
- Optimization: Optimize and scale AI/ML models to meet the performance and reliability requirements of production environments.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in applied research or a related role in AI/ML, with a strong track record of developing and deploying machine learning models.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Education: Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Research Acumen: Strong publication record in top-tier AI/ML conferences and journals (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR).
- Attributes: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, and a collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Bonus: Experience in areas such as natural language processing, computer vision, reinforcement learning, or other AI subfields.
