About the Job

Our Experiments team builds growth engines for Xendit through experimental products. We do this by pushing the frontiers of what is possible in the industry and creating modern solutions to old problems. As part of the Experiments team, you may become part of a team that builds from 0 to 1, from 1 to 1,000, or from 1,000 to the moon. This role requires flexibility and adaptability to take on new challenges to grow an early-stage product. We're looking for a passionate individual to be a Business Analyst in our Experiments team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or other quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of work experience in business analyst or similar roles.
• Experience working in a lending business.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Passion for deep-diving into large data sets and proactively improving their skillset.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and business insights.
• Self-motivated, driven, and independent - willing to tackle a problem head-on.
• A team player who knows how to communicate effectively and optimize for the entire company.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience in investigative analysis and data-driven decision support.
• Familiarity with tools such as SQL, Python, and Scala.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to convert vague contexts into structured analytical problems.
• Ability to manage and work with large volumes of data for decision-making.
• Experience with product and cross-functional understanding within a company.

Responsibilities

• Investigative Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations to determine the most relevant data for various situations. If data is missing, devise tests or methods to extract the necessary information to answer key questions.
• Data-Driven Decision Support: Assist your team in making informed decisions based on data analysis. Monitor analyses and decisions, ensure smooth project flow, and help create a comfortable environment for taking calculated risks despite uncertainties.
• Data Management and Analysis: Learn to manage and work with large volumes of data to establish a solid foundation for decision-making. Recognize that not all answers can be found in the data, and some desired data may be unavailable.
• Technical Proficiency: Utilize tools such as SQL, Python, and Scala for data extraction. Training on these tools will be provided during the initial weeks.
• Product and Cross-Functional Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of our products and how they interact with other areas within the company.
