We’re a customer analytics startup (YC W22) that’s built a platform packed with every important feature a customer experience team could dream of. We work mainly with consumer-facing companies to help them better understand their own customers, unlock new revenue opportunities, and improve retention while boosting customer loyalty – entirely using their raw data.
To give you a better idea of who we work with, our client portfolio includes major brands like Olipop, Bilt, Katalyst, CrowdCow, and many more. Our headquarters are located in NYC!
Your Role:
We’re looking for a social media intern who’s passionate about and experienced with storytelling and content creation! You’ll be working closely with our team and founders to develop engaging content that resonates with our brand and that will allow us to reach a wider public audience. You’re a fantastic fit if you have a captivating energy and voice, and you know how to capture and maintain anyone’s attention. Specifically, you’ll be:
- Converting articles on our blog (cotera.co/blog) into short-form video content in an engaging way (requires that you can understand the graphs and content on our blog and that you have a basic understanding of marketing/statistics and the consumer industry)
- Developing and scheduling other creative and compelling social media short-form video content for our Instagram, TikTok, and Youtube
- Working with other team members to brainstorm relevant video content and helping to write engaging video scripts
- Filming/editing videos while testing different video ideas and formats to help us test what works and what doesn’t
- Working from home and/or coming into our NYC office whenever you please!
Minimum requirements:
- A willingness to show your face on camera/social media
- A quick learner (though experience creating video-content is preferred)
Preferred qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Business, or a related field (with exceptions)
- Preferably in living/studying in New York (though not required)
- Experience creating short-form video content or video content of any kind
- Experience using editing platforms (like Capcut and Canva)
- Surface-level knowledge of data visualization and creating/reading basic graphs
- A surface-level understanding of tech/AI/analytics/customer experience
- A quick, passionate learner
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Tiktok, Instagram, Youtube) and their respective best practices
- An analytical and creative thinker with a keen eye for design and aesthetics
- Ability to collaborate and make engaging content that aligns with our existing brand look and feel
- Strong writing and verbal skills – a good communicator that can speak captivatingly
- Strong storytelling skills
- Willingness to keep up with social media trends and/or current events in the consumer industry
- An interest in tech, marketing, B2B, and the consumer industry
- A good sense of humor and a general knowledge of internet culture
