Job Title: Robotics Software Engineer (RSE1)
Salary Range: HKD 20,000 – HKD 30,000 per month
Location: Hong Kong

About Us:
With the increasingly dynamic and accelerating pace of consumer demand today, manufacturers must introduce more flexibility into their processes to keep up. The current state of automation and robotics which enables many of these manufacturing processes, however, does not allow for this versatility.

Machines from different vendors each use their own proprietary programming interfaces, are not designed to easily speak with each other, and often require complex and customized programs to integrate them together. Being robotics manufacturers ourselves once, we have been through these challenges, and we understand how frustrating it can get.

Our vendor agnostic software platform, syncOS is designed to seamlessly integrate different automation systems using a simple and intuitive no-code interface. We believe this can help make automated processes much more versatile and nimbler than has been possible before and is what the industry needs.

We started as 4 undergraduates who just dreamed big but had no clue how the world worked. Today we work with some of the largest manufacturers in the world like Ford, Caterpillar, Nestle across multiple countries. This is because we have always firmly believed that it is never a lack of knowledge, but a lack of drive that stands in the way of building things.

Today we are still that young and passionate team, but with more like-minded individuals who have joined us along the way, who are all obsessed on chasing our vision to make the adoption of robotics and automation much simpler, and further help #automateasia

Responsibilities

• Design & development of architecture for multi-robot planning.
• Design & development of task allocation algorithms.
• Design & development of conflict resolution approaches.
• Design & development of queuing strategies for multi-robot deployments.
• Research & collaboration on approaches to improve task allocation based on historical data.
• Design & development of communication architecture for inter-robot and robot-server communications.

Qualification Requirements

• B. Tech, M. Tech or higher qualification in Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology or related fields
• Proficiency with C++/Python programming language
• Skilled at general software development, bug analysis and fixing
• Knowledge of networking/communication concepts
• Strong knowledge of Robot Operating System (ROS)
• Good knowledge of system design
