Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack w/ Front-End Focus)

The Role:

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our talented engineering team.

The ideal candidate is excited to be an early member of the engineering team of a well-funded startup. You’ll have autonomy to make decisions and quickly build a product from the ground up. You’ll play a significant role in developing our frontend and backend systems and shaping the technical direction of our products. (We expect time to be split roughly 60% frontend / 40% backend.)

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of high-quality, responsive web applications, ensuring a seamless, intuitive user experience.
• Collaborate with our UX designer to translate visual concepts into compelling online experiences, integrating with backend services to create fully functional web applications.
• Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability, implementing best practices in coding and security.
• Take on responsibilities across the stack as necessary to deliver high-quality, customer-centric solutions. Adapt to project needs and ensure that every application layer is optimized for performance, scalability, and security.
• Spearhead the innovation of AI-driven UX features with user interfaces to elevate usability and forge personalized user experiences in collaboration with leading UX designers and AI experts.
• Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in product software development, with experiences in both frontend and backend
• 3+ years experience with building and maintaining React web applications in TypeScript. Familiarity with UX component libraries (we use MUI).
• 2+ years experience with architecting RESTful services and APIs and familiarity with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Solid understanding of backend development using languages and frameworks such as Node.js, Python, Java, or Go.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• B2B SaaS experience or early stage startup experience
