Startup Engineer

Overview:

Note: This position is compensated with equity prior to launch and profit sharing post launch.

We are looking for a passionate and talented engineer to join our fast-paced team in developing specialized engineering solutions. As our software transitions from alpha to beta, you will be key in learning its functionality, assisting in development, testing, and repairing.

If you seek a full-stack developer role, you will primarily work with Vanilla Javascript and Python. If you seek an HPC engineer role, you will work with Python, C++, Rust, and/or HDL.

You will work closely with a licensed engineer who will assist you in various tasks, but your ability to conduct independent research and learn autonomously is crucial. You must be dynamic and capable of transitioning quickly from one task to another.

As a versatile cornerstone of our team, you will wear many hats, necessitating strong communication and teamwork skills. You may also be required to communicate with clients to facilitate the software's transition to the market.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Exposure to programming, specifically for engineering applications

• Willingness to learn programming languages quickly if not already known

• Strong communication skills

• U.S. citizenship

Preferred:

• Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or Physics

• Experience with Python, Rust, C++, and Vanilla JavaScript

• Experience with Cloud SDK/API

• Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC)

• Technical writing skills

Bonus:

• Professional Engineer (PE) certification

• Knowledge of Hardware Description Languages (HDL)

• Experience with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA)

Compensation:

This position offers equity compensation only. The amount and frequency of equity granted will be determined by your skill set and level of experience. We expect to transition to cash compensation in the form of profit sharing as soon as business allows.
