What will you be doing?
As a Service Engineer, your job is to do onsite implementation, troubleshoot technical issues, work closely with Support & R&D Team and provide timely customer feedback/Solutions, maintain the software application and infrastructure, among other duties.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintain server availability and performance
- Apply software patches for SharePoint and related technologies
- Monitor and Manage SharePoint, IIS, SQL Server and storage trends
- Perform, test and validate backup and restore operations
- Deploy custom and 3rd Party Solutions
- Perform scheduled and ad hoc reporting
- Perform environment refreshes to ensure all environments are in sync with production
- Configure and enforce SharePoint policies for settings and configuration standardization
- Assist with disaster recovery testing
- Improve the organization’s use of proactive monitoring tools, including SCOM and DocAve
- End to end ownership and resolution of incidents
- Document SharePoint change management activities
- Liaise between client and third party vendors for support cases
- Work with networking, storage, virtualization and other infrastructure teams to setup and maintain business critical SharePoint systems

Must haves:
- Ability to work individually and within a highly collaborative team setting
- Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint architecture, components, configuration and administration. Understand the differences between the SharePoint versions (2013 & 2016)
- Working knowledge of Relational SQL Server 2012 and 2016
- Experience in ITPro related topics such as server administration for Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, and SharePoint technologies
- Working knowledge of Active Directory and SMTP technologies
Good to haves:
- 3+ years as a SharePoint Administrator
- BA/BS Degree (Computer Science/Engineering majors preferred) with 3+ years of work experience
- High level of customer service ability
- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Competence with testing, flowchart, and data mapping tools and procedures
- Experience with AvePoint products including DocAve 6 is a plus
- Experience with K2 Workflow products is a plus
