Software Engineer Backend Internship (6 Months, Full Time)

About the Role:

As a Intern you will be an integral part of our collaborative team, working closely with experienced professionals to design, develop, and have the opportunity to work on our core Ordbit platform APIs and contribute to the development of external-front-facing APIs.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the backend development team to design, develop, and maintain APIs for our core Ordbit platform.
• Work closely with frontend developers to understand their requirements and build robust and efficient APIs that power our web and mobile applications.
• Participate in the development and enhancement of our infrastructure, including deployment pipelines, CI/CD processes, and monitoring systems, using AWS services.
• Gain exposure to Bitcoin Core APIs and explore the development of DApps (Decentralised Applications) on top of the Bitcoin Ordinals protocol.
• Integratation with the payment systems, Bitcoin Full Nodes and Data APIs to provide end-to-end solutions into our platform.
• Conduct research and stay updated with the latest developments in backend technologies and best practices.

Job Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Java/Golang and familiarity with its ecosystem.
• Knowledge of backend development principles, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture. Understanding of cloud technologies, particularly AWS services for deployment and infrastructure management.
• Interest in blockchain technology and Bitcoin-related development is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
