Technical Writer

Job Description:
As a Technical Writer, you should be a self-starter with a strong work ethic who is a highly responsible, team-oriented individual. You must also have the ability to act independently to research and solve problems. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary for this job, as well as the ability to rapidly develop positive customer and team relationships and possess communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Use available tools to develop information system security documents to support the Authorization to Operate (ATO) for terminal Second-Level Engineering systems.
• Work with the engineering team for each system to support resolution of security issues.
• Work under guidelines and objectives with limited supervision.
• Knowledge and support of the Terminal Second-Level Engineering programs and systems

Qualifications:

• Associates degree and fifteen (15) years of related work experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of twelve (12) years of related work experience

Technical Proficiencies:

• Ability to develop analytical documents
• Strong organizational skills and some knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Risk Management Framework (RMF), Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), and NIST security controls.
• Knowledge and/or experience with the following software, vendors, and equipment: *Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio; Adobe Acrobat; Linux; Windows; Cisco Routers; Switches; Firewalls; Hubs
