About the job

Opportunity

We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our founding crew, working closely with our sales and engineering teams to provide technical expertise and customer support to enterprise customers, and advocating customer feedback to the engineering team. This role is critical in bridging the gap between our product capabilities and customer needs, working with our account executives to customers realize fast paths to value of our solution and ensuring successful Proof of Concepts/pre and post-sales engagements.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing company at a pivotal time. You will work alongside experienced business and technical leaders, where your input will directly influence our success and growth. This role offers a significant opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow in a collaborative environment.

We believe strongly that diverse teams drive greater innovation. Diversity comes from people of different backgrounds and experiences working together in an environment where ideas are respected, voices are heard, and decisions are made with integrity in the best interest of our company and our customers. We believe we can build the best product when everyone contributes.

Nametag has both B2B and B2C components - we are a platform that connects companies with their customers. Our technical environment includes a mix of backend, frontend, and mobile technologies. Experience with our tech stack is a bonus, but not a requirement.

In your first 180 days

We are a fast-growing company, so the roadmap and priorities can shift. However, we anticipate in the first 180 days you will:

• Understand the Nametag use cases and how customers think about Nametag, how Nametag works (capabilities, limitations), how current customers are using Nametag in production today and be able to synthesize that into the conversations with prospective customers
• Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide tailored technical solutions during the pre-sales process.
• Assist customers in implementing and integrating our solutions, providing technical support and troubleshooting during the post-sales phase.
• Develop and deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concepts to prospective customers.
• Work closely with our engineering team to convey customer feedback and contribute to product improvements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including integration guides and best practices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as their primary technical point of contact, from the first introductory call through to their production support.
• Work mainly with large enterprise customers, addressing their unique needs through a mix of change management techniques, project management, architecture, and core engineering advice.
• Implement and advise on the best use of our APIs, integrating with MFA providers, synchronizing with Microsoft Active Directory, and integrating into helpdesk and ticketing platforms.

Ideal Qualifications

No one is perfect and you don’t need to answer yes to all of these to be amazing in this role, but ideally, you match most of the items below, and you possess the drive and attitude to learn the rest. You’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Have a strong technical background, preferably with experience in pre-sales or post-sales engineering and/or technical support
• Possess excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of the challenges associated with change management in large enterprises
• Are proficient in one or more programming languages, MFA/Authentication platforms, and familiar with web technologies.
• Can work effectively (or learn to work effectively) in a remote team environment.
• Are capable of productive and self-guided work, managing your projects and communicating progress and plans concisely.
• Are enthusiastic about technology and eager to learn new skills and technologies.

Compensation

The base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 to $150,000 plus equity and benefits.

Nametag is a founding member of the Open Imperative and publicly committed to pay equity in the technology industry. We post positions with ranges to encourage people of different backgrounds and experiences to apply, but the salary for every specific job offer is benchmarked using market data sources to ensure they are fair and consistent.
