Senior Database Engineer - PostgreSQL and Decentralized Architectures

Responsibility

• Design and implement multiple independent PostgreSQL database instances with real-time replication capabilities.
• Develop and manage multiple (mock) schemas with large volumes of data.
• Enable replication at the schema level to ensure data consistency and reliability.
• Enable secured authentication and communication between Database replicas.
• Deploy PostgreSQL databases via Docker, ensuring that the deployed owner has no direct access to the database or that the database is encrypted.
• Maintain and improve database performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate database solutions with CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for database management and security.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in PostgreSQL and decentralized database technologies.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in database engineering, with a focus on PostgreSQL.
• Proven experience in setting up and managing PostgreSQL instances, including replication and schema management.
• Proficiency in deploying databases using Docker and ensuring security and encryption.
• Knowledge of decentralized database architectures and consensus mechanisms.
• Experience with database performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
