About the job

The Role:

Product data powers our entire artist and consumer business. As we revamp our technology stack, incorporate AI, and introduce new product lines, we need to change how we define, organize and integrate this product data (taxonomy, metadata and entities). We are looking for an experienced omni-channel e-commerce product expert who can lead a cross functional initiative to revamp our data definitions so that we can integrate with 3rd party systems, power experiences with AI, and accelerate product innovation.

We’re open to hiring in either San Francisco or remote. Our SF-based Product team has an in-person 3x a week schedule.

You Will:

  • Incorporate industry trends and best practices to data design. Reconcile our product data definitions to meet industry standards, allow for attribute inheritance and flexible configurations
  • Synthesize and adapt Minted’s product taxonomies for both user-facing navigation and order fulfillment. Taxonomies must support multiple product types including art, stationery, wedding invitations, and digital products.
  • Introduce the latest best practices in leveraging AI to generate structured taxonomy or integrate with 3rd party services.
  • Develop a keen understanding of Minted’s current and future product needs, user experience and use case in order to define a data strategy
  • Work with multiple product, functional and fulfillment partners to document these use cases including search, browse, recommendations, reporting, pricing, promotions, bundles, etc.
  • Evaluate planned and potential 3rd party vendor integrations to inform data strategy.
  • Develop and execute a phased roadmap for executing the evolution of our product data and integration into use cases and 3rd party systems. Build and manage cross-functional project plans that coordinate all work streams engineering project completion and enable milestone launches
  • Coordinate with other product managers, designers, merchants and stakeholders to ensure that the data structure can power a cohesive overall user experience and internal operations
  • Drive product development execution including project kickoffs, daily scrums, sprint planning, maintaining product specs and backlog, and coordinating development and QA activities.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key success metrics for engagement and uptake of newly launched products
  • Support, triage and prioritize bugs and production issues related to the phased release of the new data architecture into our system and 3rd party systems.

  • A strong communicator with the ability to communicate effectively, create common knowledge, generate buy-in, and influence stakeholders and senior management towards recommended decisions
  • Someone with excellent product judgment, the ability to make sound decisions based on tradeoffs of different solutions, complex problems, various stakeholders, and many constraints

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years product management experience, building and shipping ecommerce or direct-to-consumer successful products and features
  • 5-7 years experience in ecommerce, marketplaces or merchandising
  • Superb analytical skills and ability to effectively use data to investigate and solve problems and make decisions
  • Demonstrated an understanding of technology/architecture and effective partnership with engineering to identify technical solutions based on tradeoffs of user experience, technical debt, latency, scalability, reliability, time to market etc.
  • Project management skills: Ability to plan, set expectations, make and meet commitments. Provide structure, process and project management to cross-functional teams
  • Intense commitment to quality: Demonstrated focus on quality of product/customer experience and testing/debugging

Compensation:

The compensation range for the role applies to both employment offers and Minted employees actively working in the role. Our employment offers fall between the minimum and midpoint of the range to allow for continued salary growth during your employment at Minted. The upper half of the range accommodates this growth and supports our intention to create an environment that encourages lasting relationships between Minted and our employees.

Geo Base Full Salary Range 0 - Includes SF Bay Area $184,933- $277,399(Midpoint $231,166)
Geo Base Full Salary Range 1 - All non-SF CA, DC, NY - $170,138- $255,207 (Midpoint $212,673)
Geo Base Full Salary Range 2 - Includes CO, IL, MA, MD, NJ, OR, RI, TX, VT, VA, WA - $157,193 - $235,789 (Midpoint $196,491)
Geo Base Full Salary Range 3 - Includes AL, AK, AZ, AR, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, NV, NH, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, WI, WV, WY - $144,248 - $216,371(Midpoint $180,309)
