About the job

Limio is changing the way companies manage their subscriber experience. The subscription economy is exploding: 58 million British people subscribe to services, be it Spotify, Amazon Prime, HelloFresh, or the Economist. We're building a Subscription Commerce Platform to help brands quickly deliver personalised, online acquisition and retention experiences .

We’re looking for an Implementation Engineer to join our Solutions team, someone who enjoys working with customers and wants to develop their technical skills. You will help our customers adopt our product and go-live successfully.

Limio is a startup founded by Amaury de Closset and Daniel Morton, formerly of GoCardless (YC S11), Zuora, BCG and Three, and has raised $420,000 from fifteen fantastic entrepreneurs, including the founders of Gumtree and Entrepreneur First as well as top business angels from Episode 1 and Crane VC.

*The Role *

As an Implementation Engineer, you will play a critical role in helping Limio customers to implement, adopt and go-live with Limio's products and new features. You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, identify the best technical solution with the help of your peers and other internal teams, and then deliver the solution to the customer.

- Overview: The role is 25% customer interaction, 25% configuration, and 50% development.

  • Customer: Working closely with customers to gather their business requirements and translate them into tailored configurations and customisations within our Limio platform.
  • Configuration and Development: Configuring and customising the platform to meet customer-specific needs, using Limio's tools, APIs, React developer framework (https://developers.limio.com/) and scripts where necessary
  • Issue resolution: Troubleshooting technical issues during the implementation phase, identifying solutions, and guiding customers through any challenges that arise.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as product management, engineering, and customer support, to resolve complex issues and continuously improve the implementation process.
  • Customer Training: Provide training and guidance to customers on using the Limio platform and resolving common technical issues independently

The Technology

Implementation Engineers in the Solutions team work primarily with Limio's Developer Experience, which is a set of React frameworks, SDK and REST APIs. Those are described at https://developers.limio.com/. Part of the role will also involve running scripts in JavaScript, investigating issues in the AWS Console, or running deployments in Terraform.

Our applications maintained by the separate Roadmap team run on the following tech stack:

  • Front-end: ES6, React, Redux, Gatsby
  • Back-end: Node, Express, Lambda, Git, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB
  • Testing: Jest, React Testing Library, Mock Service Worker
  • APIs: REST
  • DevOps: AWS serverless technologies, Terraform, Docker

You should apply if

  • You have at least 6 months React and Node experience in a professional context (mandatory)
  • You can demonstrate experience working with customers in a commercial context (consulting, agency, freelancer...)
  • You are happy to collaborate directly with customers to gather requirements, explain technical details, and guide them through the configuration and customisation process.
  • You can demonstrate experience in problem-solving and designing solutions based on customer-specific requirements, ensuring the implementation process runs smoothly.
  • You can work within project timelines and coordinating between internal teams and customers to deliver successful implementations on time
  • You are comfortable with scripting or coding to enable custom configurations or integrations, but your focus is on delivering functional solutions rather than building software from scratch
  • You must already be authorised to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship for this role)

Not essential, but nice to have:

  • You have recently completed a technical degree, code bootcamp, or self-learning course

Logistics

Compensation is £35k to £50k depending on your experience and location. We strongly believe in shared success and you will receive a competitive stock option grant.

We offer flexible working hours, 25-days + bank holidays vacation policy, the latest equipment (Macbook Pro, Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard), and pension plan.

Our interview process consists of an initial phone screen, a test depending on your experience level, and a couple of hours remote or in-person interview.

You will work partly from home and partly from our London office in Bermondsey, a 5-minute walk from the London Bridge station. You may also need at times to travel to customer's site.

No recruiters, please. We do not offer visa sponsorship, you will need to already have the right to work in the UK.
