Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Embedded Engineer with extensive experience in satellite payload hardware and RF signal processing. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in embedded systems design, development, and testing, with a focus on satellite communications. You will lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with our engineering team to design, implement, and optimize embedded systems for our satellite payloads.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of embedded systems for satellite payload hardware.
- Implement and optimize advanced RF signal processing algorithms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and architecture.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
- Document design specifications, test results, and system performance.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in satellite communications and embedded systems.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems design and development.
- Deep knowledge of RF signal processing and satellite communications.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python.
- Extensive experience with FPGA design and development using VHDL or Verilog.
- Familiarity with embedded Linux and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with software-defined radio (SDR) and digital signal processing (DSP).
- In-depth knowledge of satellite communication protocols and standards.
- Familiarity with space-qualified hardware and radiation-hardened design practices.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Proven track record of leading complex projects and delivering successful outcomes.
