Fullstack Engineer | Founding Engineer - VC Backed AI Start-up

We are looking for Fullstack developers in our core team to help build and scale our AI product and create an impact for millions of buisinesses in London and Europe in AdTech.

About us: pubX is an agile, VC-backed start-up building artificial intelligence and automation technology that will revolutionise the digital publishing industry.

We work on greenfield projects to help digital publishers unlock greater revenues, improve operations and understand data to help ensure their existence into the future. Digital publishers are our customers but we are purely a technology company, developing scalable solutions to enable digital publishers to compete in an ecosystem that is increasingly geared towards Advertisers.

We are looking for a Fullstack Developer to help us build the future for digital publishing.

Reports To: Head of Engineering Location: Remote/ Hybrid, ideally in the Bangalore area for full team meet-ups

THE ROLE
You will work within a small team of developers and ML engineers, across the full pubX product offering, including big data wrangling in aws; apache spark ETL processes; a django based API; a React UI; and javascript page tags.

You will have an opportunity to innovate and bring your own ideas to bear on customer problems and will have a meaningful input on the solutions that we bring to market.

You will be working in a broadly agile process, but will have the opportunity to shape the processes and structure as the company grows.

Backend:
Required - Python, AWS, Postgres/redis/mongodb/dynamodb.

Frontend:
Required: Javascript, Typescript, Rest APIs.

Bonus Points for:
Go-lang, Python+Django, Python+FastAPI, NodeJs.
React, Redux, experience working on JS library, JS SDK etc, Prebid.js experience is helpful

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust full-stack applications using various AWS services such as lambdas, events, S3 etc, Python, Django, GoLang, JavaScript libraries and React.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, and implement new features and enhancements for our ad-tech platform
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues
• Write and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for the codebase.
• Continuously research and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our platform remains competitive
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers on the team

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack web development
• Extensive experience with AWS services, server-less architecture, and lambdas
• Strong proficiency in Vanilla Javascript, Typescript and React.
• Good to have: Python/Django and/or GoLang
• Experience working in the ad-tech industry, with ad-tech platforms or publisher side is highly preferred
• Familiarity with building and maintaining highly scalable systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
