Senior Full-Stack Developer (AWS specialist)

Company Overview

We are a progressive 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) firm specializing in providing
state-of-the-art order fulfillment solutions for eCommerce businesses. Our
software suite, integrating directly with Shopify and other leading
eCommerce platforms, encompasses postage, inventory, order, warehouse,
and labor management tools. With a dedicated team of three, we are looking
to expand our expertise, and this is where you come in!

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer with an emphasis
on Backend Infrastructure and AWS services. While we use React on the
frontend, this position will primarily focus on optimizing our AWS-based
backend systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in
database management, specifically PostgreSQL and Django, knowledge of
Kubernetes, and expertise in Python.

Responsibilities

1. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code, with
   a strong focus on backend infrastructure.

2. Work primarily on AWS-based systems, including services like
   PostgreSQL, Django, and CloudFront, among others.

3. Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new
   technologies into design.

4. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

5. Collaborate with the team to design and launch new features.

6. Maintain code integrity and organization.

7. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.

8. Conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers in the team.

9. Understand and implement security and data protection.

Required Skills and Experience

1. At least 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar
   role.

2. Expertise in Python and Django framework.

3. Proficiency with AWS services, specifically PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and
   CloudFront.

4. Strong understanding of the relationship between software operations
   and system performance.

5. Experience with database design, implementation, and management.

6. Good understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3,
   JavaScript, and React is a plus.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

8. Experience with eCommerce integrations, preferably Shopify.

9. BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or
   equivalent work experience.
