Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer

We are a passionate team of experienced technology entrepreneurs (both of us having successfully had an exit in our last venture) that are currently building a next generation health AI company. Our vision is to simplify people's path to better health around the world. We are looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer with LLM experience to join our team and help us bring our vision to life. Currently in stealth, so details are sparse at the moment but context can be given to those selected for an interview.

Position: Full Stack Engineer

Location: Remote but located in Canada

Type: Full-time

Experience Level: Mid-Level (Approximately 5 years of experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain the backend and frontend components of our AI-powered solution.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including data scientists, clinicians, and product managers, to define and implement new features.
Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the application.
Integrate third-party APIs and services, including telecommunication and messaging platforms.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the continuous improvement of our product.

Technical Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (ideal but not mandatory).
Experience: Approximately 5 or more years of experience in full stack development. Have LLM development experience and have worked with the major LLM APIs.

Frontend Skills:
Proficiency in JavaScript and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Experience with HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.

Backend Skills:
Strong knowledge of server-side languages and frameworks, such as Node.js, Python (Django or Flask), or Ruby on Rails.
Experience with RESTful API design and development.
Familiarity with database technologies, both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Firebase).

DevOps and Cloud:
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

AI and Machine Learning:
Understanding of natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs).
Experience integrating AI/ML models into applications.

Communication Tools:
Experience integrating telecommunication and messaging APIs (Twilio, WhatsApp Business API, etc.).

Additional Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred: experience with speech-recognition technologies, experience working with health data
