We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a Linux/Unix Pluggable Authentication Module (PAM) in C, ensuring robust support across various operating systems, and providing customer support for PAM & SSH configuration issues. This role requires a blend of development, packaging, and customer-facing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop authentication related binaries: Design, develop, and maintain a PAM module and other binaries written in C for Linux/Unix systems.
- Maintain Binary Packages: Package and maintain the binaries for various Linux distributions, including Ubuntu, Redhat, and others.
- Maintain Auto-make Script: Develop and maintain an auto-make script to streamline the build process of the binaries.
- Jenkins Pipeline Maintenance: Develop and maintain a Jenkins pipeline for building, testing, and deploying the artifacts.
- Integration Testing: Implement and maintain integration testing for the code using Python to ensure reliability and functionality.
- Support Matrix Maintenance: Ensure the binaries support a wide range of operating systems, including various Linux distributions as well as AIX, HP-UX and Solaris.
- Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers, assisting them with PAM, SSH & authentication configuration issues and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in C programming with experience in system-level programming on Linux/Unix.
- Experience in packaging software for different Linux distributions (e.g., DEB, RPM).
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools, particularly Jenkins.
- Experience with build automation tools and maintaining auto-make scripts.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and integration testing.
- Experience with a variety of Unix-based systems, including AIX, HP-UX, and Solaris.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide effective customer support.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
