Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manual and automated testing, along with experience in release planning. This role will involve leading testing efforts, mentoring junior testers, and ensuring the highest quality standards for our products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate all testing activities, including manual and automated testing, across various projects.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Implement and maintain test automation frameworks.
• Ensure thorough testing of software products to meet quality standards and business requirements.
• Collaborate with development, product management, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Manage and mentor a team of test engineers, providing guidance and support.
• Plan and oversee release activities, ensuring smooth deployments and minimal disruptions.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues through to resolution.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on both manual and automated testing.
• Proven experience in leading testing teams and managing testing projects.
• Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, etc.).
• Experience with release planning and coordination.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with performance and security testing.
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, etc.).
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
