Main Responsibilities:

• Prototype, Optimize, and Maintain: Develop scalable back-end services that power new ML development workflows.
• Design Extensible Interfaces: Create testable interfaces between internal services, including underlying storage and data models.
• Own AI/ML Architecture: Lead the architecture, design, development, and operations of large-scale NLP-focused AI/ML tasks, including data management systems, data representation, and micro-services design.
• Customer and Team Collaboration: Work with customers, product, and sales teams to understand product use cases, desired capabilities, and scale requirements. Translate these requirements into engineering specifications and code.
• CI/CD and On-Call Support: Keep CI/CD pipelines healthy and provide on-call support to customers in production environments.
• Engaged Team Player: Contribute actively in a customer-focused cross-functional environment, tackling impactful projects and initiatives.
• Hybrid Work Schedule: Work a hybrid schedule with one or two days per week in our Bangalore office, and enjoy "No Meeting" Tuesdays and Thursdays for focused work.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience: 4+ years of experience delivering distributed systems and services in a production setting for cloud-native applications.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong development and debugging skills in Python.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
  • Strong communication and coding skills with an emphasis on designing for scale and robustness.
• Attitude: Proactive and positive, with the ability to lead, learn, troubleshoot, and take ownership of shipping multi-quarter large feature development as well as immediate debugging and unblocking customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • 5 years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in developing enterprise software products for ML and data science applications.
  • Experience with NLP and relevant libraries such as scikit-learn, spaCy, xgboost, torch.
  • Experience building and maintaining large-scale, distributed, and high-performance data pipelines for AI/ML tasks.
