Junior Mobile Engineer

Summary
We are seeking a junior mobile developer with some experience in Flutter to design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms, supporting the development of our research and development of a self-service payment platform to be launched on taxi vehicles. The ideal candidate will have some experience in working in a team setting releasing apps on the App Store and Google Play Store and supporting a production app. Experience in working with custom hardware is also an advantage.

Research Areas

• Development of a POS mobile application specifically designed for the taxi setting and to be launched on a specific mobile device terminal
• Integrate POS mobile application with selected Payment App to facilitate in Taxi Payment
• Integrate POS mobile application with Transaction Back-End to constantly update meter data to mobile application to create seamless payment experience
• Develop customized flow on POS mobile application to support error cases (e.g. incorrect fare, incorrect destination) while under self-service mode
• Integrate device with Mobile Device Manager platform to enable over the air control of device

Responsibility

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms using Flutter and Kotlin.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and non-production environments.
• Release and maintain apps on the App Store and Google Play Store.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mobile applications with our cloud-based applications.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in mobile development.

Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in mobile development, with a focus on Flutter
• Moderate understanding of mobile development best practices.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration with other systems.
• Experience with Git and familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Experience in releasing apps on the App Store and Google Play Store.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
