Job Description
Embark is looking for an enthusiastic senior software engineer to help us build the next iteration of our admissions platform. For this role, we are seeking a senior engineer or architect who can act as both an individual contributor and as a mentor and manager to others. In this position you will work side by side with a small team of talented and motivated engineers. You’ll be building features across our entire software stack, modeling and mining data, building performant APIs, leveraging emerging cloud technologies, and constructing sharp user interface components.

You are concerned with writing clean, maintainable, and performant code, and are excited to participate in the entire product development lifecycle.
Qualifications
Looking for 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a foundational degree in STEM from a top university and/or strong work experience at a top company or relevant start-up experience
Exceptional programming skills and a love for building quality software
Passion for technology
Agile experience
Experience with:
