Software Lead - Satellite Payload Development

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Lead to join our team and lead the development of machine learning-based algorithms for RF signal classification on the edge. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing ML models to run on embedded hardware payloads deployed on satellites.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the software development efforts for RF signal classification using machine learning techniques.
• Design and implement ML algorithms for signal processing, feature extraction, and classification.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of ML models with embedded systems.
• Optimize ML models for efficient execution on resource-constrained embedded platforms.
• Develop software frameworks and APIs for easy deployment and management of ML models on satellite payloads.
• Conduct performance analysis and debugging to ensure the reliability and robustness of the software.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in ML techniques and satellite communication technologies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (5 years) in software development, with a focus on machine learning and signal processing.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and MATLAB (Optional). Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn).
• Familiarity with embedded systems development and hardware-software co-design principles. Experience in optimizing ML models for embedded platforms (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, FPGA, Jetson).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Optional experience with satellite communication systems and RF signal processing on embedded systems.
• Knowledge of digital signal processing techniques and algorithms.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile software development methodologies.
