About freeflow

Humans are meant to interface using voice and visuals, so why do we spend so much of our work week on a keyboard? The keyboard is not the most efficient way to get work done, but it has been the primary work interface for the last 40 years. Freeflow will change that.

Simply screen record and talk about what is on your screen. When you stop the recording, freeflow uses your recording and generative AI to build any final piece of work output you want, in seconds. Freeflow leverages the rich context of your voice and screen video to generate professional work outputs. Users can decide their output format (e.g. a slack message, email, notion page, presentation, ticket, video, audio, etc), and share with the team, enabling users to communicate and work the way they prefer.

The freeflow founding team are second time founders who successfully exited their prior startup (insurtech) in Dec 2021. Freeflow has closed a $2.5M preseed round from the same group of investors. We’re building a fully remote, small, capable, and high-performance team to become the backbone of freeflow as we scale. Early hires will join at the ground floor of a generative AI company that will change the way we work and communicate.

As a Founding AI Engineer at freeflow you will

• Be the founding AI engineer on an engineering team that builds features which will deliver lasting value to customers

• Research and create novel and optimal algorithms and models to capture context in multimodal inputs and produce accurate outputs using generative AI and foundational models

• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback and continually improve the platform

About You

• 8+ years industry experience doing software and model development on a data or machine learning team in a production environment

• Experience designing, training, deploying, maintaining and monitoring machine learning models to solve critical business problems running in production

• Experience with feature engineering, particularly in relation to multimodal inputs (e.g. audio and video)

• Knowledge about how to manipulate data to perform analysis, including querying data, defining metrics, and analyzing data to evaluate a hypothesis.

• Experience working with video and image processing libraries such as OpenCV

• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch for developing ML/AI models

• Collaborative teammate, willing to roll up your sleeves and use instinct to get things done the right way

• Passionate about solving customer needs and love moving fast

Bonus

• Knowledge or experience with generative AI, foundational models, LLMs, RAGs and/or retrieval (e.g. semantic and/or full text search), personalization

• Experience building models with input and output grounding (e.g. verifying the output is present in the input)

• Experience in Scala (deployed on Spark and/or Flink)

• Experience designing, building, and supporting large scale distributed systems

• Strong CS fundamentals with an appetite for learning

• We build APIs and event driven pipelines in Go and Scala with Python for ML and AI using Spark and Flink as distributed processing platforms

• User interfaces in Typescript and React

• Primarily Postgres and Kafka for data storage and message passing

• Deployed to k8s in GCP, scripted in Terraform

$190,000-$230,000 a year + 0.50%-0.90% equity
