We’re developing a small autonomous gun turret that uses computer vision and advanced control systems to precisely aim small arms (the M240, M4, or a shotgun) to “snipe” small drones and loitering munitions out of the sky at long range. There are obviously many technical challenges involved in this.
Allen Control Systems (ACS) is a defense startup by two ex-Navy electrical engineers, who previously founded a robotics & software company which was purchased for >$100M in 2022. Our company culture is engineering-first, but we also have the business skills to ensure what you build will get used in the world.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and driven Head of Marketing to lead our marketing initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand presence and driving the marketing strategies that will elevate our products to the forefront of the defense industry. This is an opportunity to join a growing team and make a significant impact in a vital sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team of marketing and operations people to accomplish the marketing plan.
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to reach target audiences effectively, increasing brand visibility and product engagement. -Work on all facets of the podcast with CEO -Help liaison between the PR team and CEO -Run the company newsletter -Help set up our trade shows with the sales team -Organize and attend industry conferences, trade shows, and other relevant events to represent the company and establish professional networks. -Create engaging content for various platforms including brochures, press releases, website copy, and newsletters.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
-5 plus years experience in startup marketing
-Strong understanding of current marketing tools and strategies, and able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution.
-Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
-Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.
