Job Title: Lifeguard
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (20 hours per week)
Due Date: April 10
Pay Rate: $25 - $28 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Perform lifeguard duties for up to 20 hours per week, primarily during evenings and weekends.
- Availability may extend to normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) during school breaks.
- Flexibility required as schedule is subject to change, determined by the Director of Recreation/Rehabilitation in advance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- Hold a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) from an approved course listed on the NYS CPR fact sheet.
- CPR certification must be renewed annually, regardless of the expiration date on the card.
- Lifeguard certification must be valid for up to three (3) years from course completion, with annual CPR re-certification.
- Certification must be obtained from a NYS approved provider.
Note: Refer to the NYC Public Schools calendar for scheduling during school breaks.
