Principal Backend Software Engineer

At Web3Firewall, our goal is to eliminate fraud in financial transactions, and we are pioneering new fraud detection and prevention methods by harnessing the power of AI and Deep Learning. Our platform detects over 30 distinct types of fraudulent crimes, analyzes over 120 million blockchain transactions per day, and saves our customers millions of dollars each month.
We recently started building the next generation of our investigation capabilities, through our Investigation and Case Management product. This new product allows our customers to analyze, track, and simulate fraudulent activity in their systems from a single location. Moving us one step closer to becoming the only platform that our customers need to eliminate fraud in their financial systems.

Our Team

The Platform Engineering teams build the backend APIs and systems that power all the products at Web3Firewall. We use a mix of home-grown innovations and off-the-shelf technologies to deliver sub-100 millisecond transaction scoring, low-code customizable policies, industry-defining compliance frameworks, along with many other capabilities. We deliver features that not only provide our customers with meaningful and engaging experiences, but that are reliable enough to withstand the rigor needed to protect our customers’ most sensitive assets.

Our platform is still in its infancy but is maturing quickly. We are looking for highly motivated engineers who are excited to join us on this journey.

Must haves:

• 10+ years of industry experience working with a modern programming language; typescript, rust, go, python, etc.
• Experience working with partner and stakeholder teams on creating solutions with ambiguous or conflicting requirements.
• Experience working on highly scalable systems
• Experience with Cloud platforms, mainly AWS
• Experience designing and deploying software in serverless architectures.
• Experience integrating NoSQL databases into products.
• Experience building HTTP or gRPC-based APIs.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer engineering or a related field

Nice to haves:

• Customer support experience (or similar e.g. teaching, mentoring).
• A solid understanding of cyber security risks and mitigations for cloud-deployed services.
• Experience with Web3 or Traditional Financial Compliance
