Job Title: Founding Engineer
Company Overview:
Splink is an early-stage vertical software startup modernizing the CPG supply chain. Pre-product launch, the business has already secured contracts with leading CPG manufacturers and distributors.
Position Overview:
As the CTO / Founding Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the tech foundation of Splink - both as a builder and leader. You will be responsible for guiding the technical direction, leading product, engineering, and driving innovation to ensure successful implementation of the product vision.

Key Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy:
- Build and execute the overall technology strategy aligned with Splink’s business goals and product requirements.
- Develop the product roadmap based on customer needs and technical complexities.
- Drive innovation by staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes.
Product Development:
- Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to implementation.
- Define and implement a robust and scalable architecture for Splink, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, reliable solution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical designs align with product requirements and user stories.
Team Leadership:
- Lead a high-performance engineering team (both in-house and outsourced), fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering talent to ensure a strong and cohesive team.
- Act as a key decision-maker in technical matters, balancing business needs with technological constraints.
Qualifications:
- 4-8+ years experience as a full-stack or backend software engineer.
- Supply chain technology and vertical software experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performance engineering teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- New York City based is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
