Senior Devops Engineer - EMEA

Handelnine Global is an e-commerce company with a global presence, operating multiple stores across various geographies.In line with our rapid growth and the scaling of our operations, we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead our infrastructure enhancements. Our infrastructure, primarily hosted on AWS, is undergoing significant enhancements to support our growth and expansion. This includes a strategic migration from ELB & ECS to Kubernetes, alongside the utilization of a comprehensive suite of AWS services such as RDS, OpenSearch, and ElasticCache.

Key Projects:

1 Infrastructure Cost Optimization initiatives aimed at reducing expenses while maintaining high performance.

2 Achieving PCI-DSS Certification to ensure the security and compliance of our payment processes.

3 Designing and executing the production infrastructure for SaaS Products, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

Ongoing Responsibilities:

1. Kubernetes and ECS Deployments: Lead ongoing deployment efforts, ensuring high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.

2 Infrastructure Optimization: Fine-tune our Kubernetes clusters for efficient and optimal resource usage.

3 Infrastructure Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations to determine the feasibility and benefits of migrating certain resources from AWS to dedicated infrastructure solutions.

4 Innovation in Solutions: Propose and implement innovative ideas and strategies for infrastructure optimization and cost savings.

5 CI/CD Pipeline Management: Manage and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines for streamlined and automated deployment processes.

6 IAM Management: Oversee Identity and Access Management (IAM), ensuring secure and controlled access to our AWS resources.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer or DevOps Architect, with a strong emphasis on AWS and Kubernetes environments. Previous experience with dedicated infrastructure is also useful.

2. Extensive background in managing and optimizing AWS services, including RDS, OpenSearch, and ElasticCache.

3 Demonstrated ability in developing cost-saving strategies and executing infrastructure optimization projects.

4. Prior background in industries requiring PCI-DSS compliance or handling of secure payment transactions, demonstrating an understanding of payment security standards and best practices.

5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think innovatively and outside the box.

6 Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of delivering clear, strategic recommendations and working effectively across teams.
