Re-Volt Metals, Inc., a pioneering corporation in sustainable lithium recovery and is on the hunt for an exceptional Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with expertise in electrochemistry, advanced (electro-) and membrane separationt echnologies. As we stand on the brink of fundraising, this role promises a transition to a paid position post-funding or upon interim funding availability.

At Re-Volt Metals, we harness cutting-edge electrocemistry with our proprietary electro-membrane separation process for the direct recovery of lithium and other metals, focusing on batteries, geotehrmal brines and other lithium and metal rich streams. We invite you to bring your expertise to the table, contributing to the development and commercialization of innovative processes that drive a closed-loop, environmentally conscious valuable metal recovery system. Re-Volt will be focused on developing for commercialization its technolgoies direclty and plans to build a facility fo such separation.

Please note that the Company is in the process of fundraising and the position is a Co-Founder position. The position will be a paid role after the close of pre-seed funding or once interim funding is available.

The CTO must provide sound technical leadership in the development and direction of our new and existing technology for the applications at hand. He/she should be a strategic thinker, an effective communicator, and an expert in technological development for electro-separation technologies.

The ideal candidate will have experience architecting an organization’s technology roadmap, from the ground up. You are required to have experience deep domain of electrochemical processed, electro-separation technologies, and possibliy membrane electro-separation.

Responsibilities of the Role:
• Lead the strategy and R&D, for the existing and future technology , partnerships and external relationships
• Represent the company’s technological roadmap and work on further development of existing IP portfolio and R&D program
• Identify, compare, select and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs
• Create overall technology standards and practices and ensure adherence to various recovered materials standards
• Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity in our technologies of interest
• Work closely with the CEO and the R&D team, as well as Business Development and Operations to define and deliver the proposed processed
• Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
• Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
• Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors

Required Skills:
• Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role
• Knowledge of the advanced separation technologies, particularly electro-separation, membrane separation and purification.
• A creative and innovative technologist who is willing to lead and direct Re-Volt’s base technologies and develop them further.
• Ability to conduct technological analyses and research in the areas of interest.
• PhD degree in Chemical engineering/electrochemical engineering. MBA is a plus.
• 10+ years in technology, particularly separation technologies with membranes, electro-separation technologies and related fields, development and research
• Entrepreneurial mindset and extensive technical knowledge with an eye towards the future
• Strategic thinker, proactive problem solver
• Excellent communication, (verbal and written) organizational and time-management skills
