Software Engineer

The required skills for a Software Engineer position are:

1. Minimum of 2 years experience in software development and at least 1 year in node.js and JavaScript programming and building web applications.
2. Must be a good problem solver and knowledgeable about data structures and algorithms.
3. Must know the typical programming idioms and be able to write elegant code.
4. Familiarity of data modelling and use data models to implement data persistence using repository patterns or DAOs. Desirable: familiarity with document databases like MongoDB.
5. Experience building responsive client applications and frameworks like React or Angular.
6. Must have experience translating designs to programs.
7. Well-versed in software development process including unit testing, integration testing and system testing.
8. Experience using version control tools, build tools and deployment practices. Typical responsibilities include:
9. Work with Tech Lead and translate designs to programs.
10. Use version control tools for day-to-day software development tasks.
11. Write end-to-end code using client-side frameworks, API enabled back-end service implementations in node.js.
12. Write unit tests and be responsible for quality of code produced.
13. Fix defects in application, whether it is in code written by self or another person. Typical candidate would be:
14. Engineering graduate with a B.E/B.Tech. in Computer Science/Information Science.
15. Possess good communication skills and clearly articulate in both written and verbal communication modes with team members and management.
16. Great team player and understand own strengths and weakness and be responsive to suggestions for improvements.
