We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Director of Business Development to lead our efforts in acquiring expert witness engagements from law firms involved in patent litigation. Leveraging the power of Patexia's data-driven methodologies, you will not only pinpoint lucrative opportunities but also establish meaningful relationships and deliver tailored solutions that precisely meet the requirements of our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Patexia's big data and AI capabilities to identify and proactively pursue opportunities within the legal field, specifically in patent litigation.
  • Build and maintain enduring relationships with key stakeholders at law firms, converting prospects into loyal clients through effective communication and solution-driven interactions.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with our internal team to develop and tailor innovative solutions that align with the unique needs of clients involved in patent litigation cases.
  • Lead a small team, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative environment in line with company values and goals.
  • Craft personalized, data-driven proposals using insights gained from Patexia's extensive data repository.
  • Develop and execute a consultative selling strategy, aligning with Patexia's unique value proposition to drive client acquisition and retention.
  • Efficiently utilize CRM tools to manage leads, track success, and analyze performance metrics.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to contribute to engaging content and strategies that resonate with the target audience.

Qualifications:

  • Sales and Business Development: Proven success in cold calling, relationship building, and consultative selling
  • Leadership: Track record of effectively managing and leading teams, with a focus on mentoring and development.
  • Marketing: Proficient in LinkedIn engagement, email marketing strategies, and content marketing.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to utilize data and analytics for informed decision-making.
  • Experience in the Legal Field: Demonstrated familiarity with patent litigation, legal procedures, and the roles of expert witnesses (preferred).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, persistence, and resilience.
