Experienced Software Engineer for Enterprise Application Development

Tempo Technologies is a leading innovator of enterprise IoT solutions, with a focus on RFID, GPS, BLE and related technologies. We provide turnkey solutions that help companies track and manage inventory, assets, vehicles and people. We help large and medium-size businesses increase efficiency and reduce costs through automation and streamlined workflows. We build and maintain all of our software in-house, with a strong focus on customizable and configurable solutions.

We are looking for highly motivated software engineers who love to solve problems. We are a small, dedicated team that works with large global manufacturers and other (primarily) industrial companies. Our customers include automotive manufacturers, steel manufacturers, logistics companies and others.

Required experience:

Full stack application developer with a minimum of 3 years experience developing native Android applications, and a minimum of 1 year developing Angular web apps. The candidate should be able to demonstrate solid fundamentals, including multi-threading, full stack application architecture, database design and git.

Demonstrated expertise with the following technologies:

Android SDK, Jetpack, Material Components, Java, RxJava, Retrofit, OkHttp, NodeJS, TypeScript, Javascript, Angular, RxJs, NestJS, ExpressJS, TypeORM, AWS Beanstalk, RDS, S3, CloudFront, GIT, Kotlin (optional)

Education: BS in Computer Science or Software Engineering

Other required skills include the ability to:

• Problem-solve creatively and efficiently to address a variety of challenging problems
• Adapt to new technologies
• Work both independently and cooperatively as part of a small team
• Communicate ideas, problems and solutions in a clear, concise and professional manner with colleagues, and occasionally with customers

Desired, but not required:

• Experience with RFID or other sensor / scanning technologies
  
• Experience with GPS or other location-based / RTLS technologies
  

This is a contract position to start with an initial focus on one or two large-scale projects. If all goes well, we would like the successful candidate to join our team in a long-term role.
