The Role
The Senior Editorial Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the critical day-to-day workflows that enable Reorg’s Americas editorial team of journalists, financial analysts and lawyers to deliver breaking news and market-moving insights to clients.
You will lead the Americas editorial operations team to streamline workflows, manage editorial calendars and databases, monitor relevant news and disclosures and produce editorial content.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, collaborative and detail-oriented self-starter with excellent communication skills, experience in digital publishing and editorial project management and a passion for problem solving and building efficient and scalable processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the Americas editorial operations department, providing direction, guidance, mentorship and support to team members
- Oversee the management of editorial calendars, news monitoring tools, and internal and client-facing databases, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of content and coordination between various teams
- Administer Reorg’s critical and expansive database of Federal court dockets
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including data, technology and product to drive continuous improvement in editorial products, processes and tools
- Take the lead on communicating new structures and systems internally and train colleagues on new tools and systems
- Produce select editorial content, leveraging your expertise and knowledge to contribute to the team's deliverables
- Track and report business metrics/KPIs to editorial leadership and the commercial team, providing insights to support decision-making and strategic planning
- Work closely with the Managing Editor and finance to manage procurement, integration and budgeting of third-party tools and services
- Assist with the training and onboarding of new editorial employees
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in business operations and team management, preferably in an editorial environment
- Ability to work 2-3 times per week from Reorg’s New York City office
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Curiosity and drive to understand and perform every part of the editorial operations workflow
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets proficiency; SQL experience is a plus
- Familiarity with financial markets, legal research or related fields is preferred

Please note that the salary range information below is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed below may reflect that breadth.
The salary range estimate for this position is $110,000 - $130,000.
The actual compensation will be at Reorg’s sole discretion and will be determined by the aforementioned and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for an annual year-end performance bonus.
