Who We Need
We’re looking for a Marketing and Events Lead to support our local programs throughout the MENA region through marketing and events. Your role is key to the success of our programs and the development of the startup ecosystem in the Egypt/MENA region.
This is a contract position that could last for up-to-three years.
You will be responsible for building and launching marketing campaigns by utilizing your lead generation, social media and email marketing skills, and events/roadshows to attract quality startups. You will get to flex your creative muscle to drive brand awareness for our programs through which we help MENA founders realize their visions. You will also lead all the community building activities through events and other digital campaigns to continuously engage our founders and ecosystem. Your contribution matters as you will be doing your part to support visionary founders who want to change the world.
The ideal candidate is passionate about marketing and community outreach with experience in event marketing and coordination. You are a strong communicator, encouraging, and can take feedback well, with the ability to develop, track, and optimize campaigns in collaboration with other team members.
You will be part of a global Brand & Marketing team and work closely with a globally distributed team from more than 27 countries. Our team members have experience as entrepreneurs, investors, and operators. Core responsibilities include:
- Working closely with Programs and Brand teams to manage, execute and optimize marketing campaigns, including but not limited to program launches, lead generation, and marketing events.
- Developing impactful social media and email campaigns through excellent storytelling to drive brand awareness and conversion.
- Managing the implementation, tracking and measurement of digital marketing campaigns, on time and within budget by collaborating with external agencies.
- Oversee and coordinate event management while leveraging event marketing best practices to integrate within the startup ecosystem in Egypt and in the broader MENA region.
- Monitor and track founder feedback, interests, and provide solutions and implementation plans to address them
- Running point on event organization, logistics planning, including working with 3rd party vendors
- Drafting and editing program pages built on WordPress + ad hoc copywriting and copyediting.
- Own the success of all things events and marketing in the team
Requirements
Must Haves:
- Work authorization in Egypt; based in Egypt
- At least 3-4 years of working experience in the events and/or marketing industry in Egypt or wider MENA region
- You are genuinely curious: You really want to understand our founders, our products and the VC landscape of similar products. And you never stop asking questions in order to understand better

- You are a fast learner: You are able to pick up on what needs to be done, think fast on your feet, and deliver quick resolutions
- Fluency in English
Good to haves:
- Experience working with various channel tools (HubSpot, Google Analytics, Wordpress).
- Experience in organizing and coordinating events alongside the complementary marketing efforts to drive engagement and active registration.
- Experience using design tools such as the Adobe Suite and Canva.
- Experience building and managing paid marketing campaigns on various platforms
