This job focuses on the electrical and electronics systems of the products/machines being developed. You will be responsible for the setting up and maintenance of the electrical and electronics of the machines. The tasks cover all stages of the product development cycle from the design stage all the way to the implementation and deployment. You will communicate with the senior electronics engineer, providing feedback on findings or test outcomes as well as receiving instructions or guidance from the senior engineer on how to carry out certain tasks. You will be expected to carry out troubleshooting of the electrical wiring and electronics equipment when faults occur and fix the issue where possible. In case of difficulty, provide information that is clear enough to enable the senior engineer to analyze and assist in resolving the fault.
What you will do
- Troubleshoot electrical wiring and electronic circuit boards and report issues identified.
- Install the firmware on a microcontroller and document issues observed when running the firmware.
- Setting up and testing electrical/electronics hardware changes, document your work and clearly communicate your findings
- Identifying/sourcing suitable electrical/electronic components guided by specifications provided by the senior electronics engineer.
What you will bring to KOKO
- Diploma in Engineering / Bachelors in Engineering: Electrical & Electronics Engineering as specialization (Telecommunications Engineering can be considered)
- Experience- Minimum 3 years
- Background- Must have worked in installing/commissioning and/or maintenance of electrical and electronics systems. Experience in product design would be an advantage.
- Industry- Home appliances, Lab equipment, Consumer electronics, Manufacturing, Telecommunications, Automotive, Solar energy, or other relevant industries
- Understanding of electrical schematics and basic electrical wiring concepts
- Must be able to communicate well in English.
