The Role

We are looking for a ‘Head of Marketing’ – you will be a member of ALPHASHINE’s senior leadership team, reporting to the CTO.

At ALPHASHINE, we believe that marketing’s role does not stop when a potential customer lands on our website, but rather than effective marketing is infused into the full customer and product experience. You will therefore work in close collaboration with cross-functional colleagues to develop and execute a marketing strategy that is well integrated with the broader product and business.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has growth marketing experience in early-stage start-ups.

You will…

As with any leadership role, the actual duties come down to “whatever it takes to make the function successful”. As our first full-time growth hire, you will have the opportunity to build scalable systems to acquire customers, including leveraging paid ads, content / SEO, partnerships, and more. A few of your responsibilities will include:

• Guide marketing strategy & analytics –– Define marketing goals and set up dashboards to help us measure, optimize and scale our marketing efforts. Using data to iterate quickly on marketing campaigns will be key to unlock this next stage of revenue growth for our business
• Test acquisition channels –– Launch, track, and optimize campaigns across multiple channels to convert new customers. We have found promising early results from paid ads and partnerships, and it’ll be up to you to double down on existing and new channels to find what clicks
• Build a positive brand –– Create landing pages, follow SEO best practices, and own our social media accounts to build traffic and improve our online presence
• Understand the product – Develop deep understanding of our user and buyer journeys to deliver personalized experiences for each lifecycle stage, collaborating with Product, Technology and Sales teams

• You are invigorated about wearing many hats in a fast-paced environment and is willing to help with sales, customer success, and operational initiatives as needed. We are looking for someone who is adaptive and excited to learn at an early-stage start-up.
• You are experienced, but hands-on – we're looking for 3-5 years of experience, ideally at a high-growth start-up in the consumer or SaaS space
• You have breadth in all areas of marketing, with strong depth in some of these areas: paid acquisition, email/lifecycle marketing, SEO, website management & conversion rate optimization, marketing ops and analytics
• You are scrappy – can do a lot with limited resources
• You are data-driven – constantly running hypothesis-driven experiments and iterating based on data
• You are creative – not only when it comes to ad copy/visuals, but also in exploring non-traditional avenues for early-stage growth
• You are humble – you can roll up your sleeves and pitch in for any task, big or small, that will push the company forward
• You are outcome oriented, holds themselves accountable to delivering tangible results for customers and the business

Definitely mention if you have...

• Portfolio of work from previous brands/businesses on which you worked, especially at product led growth companies
• Proficiency in a full stack of marketing tools including Google Ads and Analytics, HubSpot, Klaviyo, SEO Audit tools, SQL etc.
• Design proficiency (ideally experience working with Figma, Canva, Adobe, etc.)
• Created native content for social media channels and are well-versed in social media and content marketing as an important awareness and lead generating element in the PR mix

• You will be asked to work on a task (2-4 hours of independent work)
• In-person interview with the founders (1+ hrs)
