Full-Spectrum Doula (French Fluency)

About This Role

Maven is looking for a mission-driven, empathetic full-spectrum bilingual doula to support our members through virtual care services. This role requires fluency in English and French.

As a Maven Doula, you will:

• Provide virtual care and support to adult members via 20-minute video consults and asynchronous messaging around:

  • Birth planning and guidance
  • Questions related to pregnancy, birth and postpartum
  • Childbirth education
  • Nonmedical comfort measures
  • Lactation support
  • Developing a community resource list
  • Partner education and support

• Capture encounter summary documentation in our practice management system, MPractice

• Collaborate with Maven’s Care Delivery team to ensure member needs are met, including recommendations for in-person referrals and follow-ups

• Serve as an ambassador of Maven’s unique care model, providing culturally humble care and championing our belief that better outcomes for women and families mean a better world for everyone

What we’re looking for you to bring:

• Licenses/Qualifications: Must hold one of the following: DONA or CAPPA certification, NY and/or CA state affiliation, or 24+ training hours with 5+ observed births
• Language: Must be fluent in French
• Residency: Must be residing in the United States. At this time, Maven cannot consider providers who are located in CA, CT, IL, NJ, NY, MA, MD, OR
• Availability: Ability to provide direct member care for 5-10 hours per week. This is an independent contractor role (1099 position)
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the telehealth space. Must be comfortable providing care through a digital health platform.
• Technology Requirements: Must own an iOS device (iPhone or iPad) that can be updated beyond iOS 16 and have access to a laptop with strong and reliable internet access.

This is a 1099, contract position. For candidates in NY, CO, or CA, the approximate pay rate is $18.43 per 20 minute appointment. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, specialization, and contract type
