The Role
As Collections Manager at Podium, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing our accounts receivable processes to help drive our company’s financial success. In this position, you'll work closely with both internal teams and clients to ensure timely and accurate collections, minimize outstanding balances, and prevent customer churn. You’ll have the opportunity to lead a team to help build strong customer relationships, and contribute directly to the growth of a high-performing, innovative business. Responsibilities
- Understand and be the primary expert for the status of accounts receivable and collections related targets and metrics
- Manage large amounts of customer data and maintain collections cycle for all past due balances
- Manage and coordinate the collections efforts of multiple team members
- Build and refine collections processes to maximize team resources to reduce customer churn related to delinquent billing
- Communicate clearly and effectively with other departments the results of collections efforts
- Collaborate with various departments to improve the efficiency of collections
- Calculate and report on collections metrics on a weekly basis
- Manage relationship and communication with third-party collections agencies as necessary
- Perform analysis on and forecast churn levels related to delinquent billing
- Assist with other accounting/finance projects as necessary
Requirements
- 3-5 years related collections experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field preferred
- Management experience preferred
- SaaS industry experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, decision-making and analytical abilities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Eager, quick learner with strong teamwork spirit
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of Excel and ability to learn new systems
