We are in search of our first engineering hire to play a significant role in leading new developments, build awesome products, and grow a outstanding team. As with any startup, this role requires wearing multiple hats in helping execute the vision of the company. That said, we are in search of a hands-on individual with the autonomy to develop full-stack and the ambition to shape the future of engineering. We seek a driven individual not afraid of challenges, that is open to learning, and who does whatever it takes to make the project a success!
We expect the Senior Software Engineering to be someone who is up to date on all the latest technologies and likes to utilize best practices in their day-to-day work. You will be working off of an already established MVP tech stack, so you should be able to adapt to existing code while maintaining an open and creative mind for the future to continue to develop a modern and scalable solution.
Responsibilities:
Adopt an established ReactJS + NodeJS MVP tech stack and build upon it, with the freedom to make drastic changes along the way as you see fit and necessary,
Be responsible for developing the full-stack and establishing the tech framework that the company will use for the foreseeable future,
Balance the trade-off between make or buy, evaluating the implementation of third-party libraries and frameworks in your solutions,
Provide valuable insights and direction to the rest of the co-founding team related to tech feasibility and opportunities,
Form the core of the future engineering team of the company, assisting with growth and hiring plans for the team,
Apply industry best practices and bring new ideas to the table
Soft skills:
You are pragmatic by nature; therefore, you understand how tech supports the business direction and the importance of launching something on time and within a constrained budget of time and effort,
You lived/studied/worked in international contexts, and you learned international best practices,
You have a solid entrepreneurial spirit; you are able to make the most complex things as simple as possible,
You are comfortable with ambiguity and ready to roll with rapid changes that come with early-stage production development,
You have a “Get stuff done” mindset!
