Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance (Q/A) & Release Manager to join our growing DevOps team. This individual in this role will partner closely with our Information Technology teams to define, execute and manage a quality assurance and release management framework. The role of Q/A & Release Management is to implement the tools and processes that ensure FBN IT solutions function as designed and meet or exceed quality, security and audit standards.
This will be a very hands-on, individual contributor role. To succeed in this role, you should be a hardworking and experienced information technology quality assurance professional with in-depth knowledge defining, implementing and managing the quality assurance and release management function in a SaaS environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes, reporting, and technologies, including end-to-end and regression testing practices.
- Manage the quality assurance process and establish quality assurance criteria and standards.
- Establish the framework for automated testing / quality assurance leveraging scripting and programming languages.
- Build a master test case repository based on our business processes that can be leveraged for testing our cloud based enterprise systems like Netsuite, Salesforce, Xactly, Coupa, Workday, Greenhouse, and others.
- Lead testing for complex projects or programs, across multiple teams and business units.
Collaborate with Project Team to define and oversee testing deliverables:
- Participate in business requirements review and definition of acceptance criteria.
- Document traceability of business requirements and technical specifications to test cases.
- Facilitate agreement on test plans or acceptance criteria with business partners and project team members.
Define and execute release management processes and technologies, including environment management and planning, release packaging, quality assurance, validation and the migration of changes into production.
Collaborate with internal and external audit, security and security operations to ensure quality assurance and release management processes meet or exceed FBN’s standards.
Establish and manage a quality assurance and release management framework that defines the quality assurance processes and standards to be applied to business technology implementation programs.
Collaborate with FBN’s DevOps teams in adopting quality assurance processes and standards into their operations.
Lead the design and adoption of test strategies & test plans, detailed test cases, test scripts, test estimates, unit testing, progress reports for test executions, various defect and statistical data reports, etc.
Lead the design of release strategies, environment plans, migration plans, migration readiness, and migration approvals.
Work with developers, solution architects, business system analysts, and support teams to resolve defects and environment issues.
May manage a small team of analysts in the future.
Champion quality and excellence throughout the IT organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of IT Application Quality Assurance experience, or related area.
- Proven track record managing the adoption of quality assurance methodologies and technologies in a SaaS business solutions environment.
- Hands-on software QA experience in both manual and automated testing while driving the vision, strategy, and planning for the testing.
- Experience in automated testing tools, workflow automation tools and robotics process automation tools is required
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration and critical thinking in addressing decisions and resolving issues.
- Polished presenter who can communicate effectively to a diverse audience of business partners and technical partners.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to foster an approach to continuous improvement in all of our QA activities
- Knowledge of bug tracking, version control, build automation and test case control systems (e.g. JIRA, GIT, Jenkins)
Preferred Qualifications
- NetSuite and Salesforce experience preferred
- Jira / Confluence experience preferred
- Javascript and Python experience preferred
- Software Q/A Certification such as CMSQ or CSQA preferred

*The following represents FBN's reasonable estimate of the US national average base salary range of possible compensation for this role based on market data and placement of internal employees: $130,000 - $145,000. *
