Principal/Chief/Lead Web Engineer - CAD (7+ years Exp)

Foresight Analytics is changing auto insurance by applying Autonomous Vehicle (AV) technology to driving and risk analysis. We use data from AI-cameras in cars/trucks to help measure driving performance of professional drivers and help improve them to make our roads safer. We take a data-driven approach, made unique by computer vision solutions inside each vehicle. We enable auto insurance to stay relevant in the coming era of self-driving cars while bringing substantial savings to drivers on their premiums today.

We are building cloud souftware to ingest data from vehicles and turn it into usable analytics for insurance companies. We deploy machine learning workloads analyzing the big data dbs and driving videos to produce meaningful scores for the risks insurance companies underwrite. You will be joining a team of highly qualified engineers and scientists in helping shape the future of transportation. You will build an amazing product impacting the safety of everyone on the road, all the while helping build a company from the ground up by influencing its culture.

We are a small (2-4 person) and growing team and see this position as a step towards becoming a foundational piece of a rocketing startup company.

Our major competencies are:

1- AI-Cameras -- We have a background in building AI-camera devices that live in cars and produce the kind of risk data we intend to leverage.

1. Web Software -- we ingests data from thousdands of video-telematics devices under 100s of API connections and flow that information to services such as Machine Learning pipelines, and indexe it for easy querry by front end and API clients - details below.
2. Machine Learning -- we need to crunch data into key pieces of information about driving behavior, models usually take tabular data as inputs and need to run efficiently to consume large data.

We'd like for you to come and grow to master our web software.
This is the stack of software we currently run, you should be either proficient or eager to become proficient in it to qualify.

• C#, DotNet Core < most of new backend
• Node.js and express for backend < old/legacy backend
• Vue.js front end
• Python and Bash
• knowledge of REST api web servers
• Experience in building and deploying software to cloud providers such as Digital Ocean or Azure
• Working with database relational database design
• Implement web security using Third parties for authentication and authorizations
• Containerizing the applications using docker and docker compose
• Familiar with network concepts and firewalls
• Good knowledge of devops CI/CD pipelines
