Full Stack Ruby on Rails and React Developer - Shopify Dev

Job Description

We are looking for a talented full stack developer with knowledge of React, React Native and Ruby on Rails interested in building performant web and mobile apps. You will be responsible for designing, building and testing mobile and web apps from the ground up to solve our client needs. This may mean working on a React Native app, React web app or Ruby on Rails backend depending on the problem we're trying to solve.

For this role the right candidate will:

Oversee the development of Shopify public and private applications and themes according to client requirements
Design, build, deploy and maintain said applications
Communicate with clients to determine technical requirements for development team
Integrate with REST APIs
Monitor and improve system to resolve issues and improve efficiency
Technical Skills:

Skills

Firm grasp of the JavaScript language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax, Typescript is a plus.
Firm grasp of Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful
Ability to write well-documented, clean Javascript code
Understanding of REST APIs and offline storage
Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
Experience with automated testing suites, like Jest and Rspec
Use React Native component libraries to build intuitive UIs.
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code.
Integrate with REST API's such as Shopify's API.
Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks.
Build Ruby on Rails services
Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
