Join Us:

We’re looking for a top-tier CTO to join BUENA. We are a highly ambitious, venture-backed pre-seed startup looking for a key team member to guide the company through our next stage. This is a broad role where you’ll be able to shape the direction of the technology and ensure that we have the best people and processes in place to achieve our goals. You will also support future recruitment as we build a world-class engineering team.

Who You Are:

• 8+ years of experience working on consumer web-based applications with modern development frameworks and platform technologies
• Knowledgeable about engineering fundamentals and architecture, including working with Git, CI/CD practices, restful APIs, distributed systems, SQL and cloud services (Google Cloud preferred)
• Docker and containerization experience
• Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision with the ability to think holistically around engineering challenges
• Adaptable person with an empathetic, collaborative and positive mindset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, technical and otherwise
• Experienced in design and implementation of app architectures and code that is scalable, and performant
