ML Tech is looking for a Director of Trading Software to own delivery, architecture, and operations of our trading software platform. This professional will deliver both a stable platform that supports our business needs but also innovate and use cloud-based infrastructure while evolving ML Tech to meet the strategic demands of our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, grow, develop, and operate a global trading software infrastructure in both on-premise and cloud environments.
• Take ownership of end-to-end trading engine components, including OMS, risk, drop copy, and exchange connectivity, empowering high frequency trading on crypto markets.
• Develop and drive long-term strategy for our software infrastructure, architecture, and operations for high performance, security, reliability, and usability.
• Drive prioritization of critical initiatives and handle timely decision-making for new technology solutions.
• Partner across teams to understand and support solutions for meeting our strategic business objectives.
• Manage operational and initiative budget with a solid sense of balance for efficiency and focus.
• Communicate to key partners including our executive team and to external stakeholders.
• Hire, manage, and lead a team focused on conceiving, building, and launching user-focused, high-quality, infrastructure that is aligned with ML Tech’s mission and vision.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related major required; Graduate degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience building trading infrastructure for crypto or traditional markets.
• 7+ years of Java or C++ experience.
• Experience with distributed systems and AWS cloud services.
• An excellent ability to evaluate risks and trade-offs and act critically.
• Experience operating infrastructure services at a global scale.
• Experience delivering trading infrastructure .
• Experience with implementing a comprehensive measurement and KPI-driven infrastructure.
• In-depth understanding of the global capital markets and cryptocurrency ecosystem.
• Flexible mindset and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and assist in various functions as needed.
• Highly analytical including the ability to define opportunities, problems, and priorities; collect and analyze data, establish facts and make valid conclusions.
• Proven ability to manage projects to successful completion and within tight deadlines.
• Savvy leader with exceptional bandwidth who can navigate a high growth, rapidly changing organization.
• Team player with strong skills in the areas of leadership, motivation, relationship building, and communications.
