Lead Backend Engineer | FLEXAGN

About the job

We are looking for a LEAD BACKEND ENGINEER to (1) help build backend services, and (2) lead project teams and mentor junior engineers. You will be one of the first backend engineers and will work very closely with CTO, CPO, and the mobile engineering team.

• Build backend services
• Work with the product team and other engineering teams to formulate engineering requirements.
• Lead project teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Proactively initiate and lead backend tasks as needed.
• Help us in recruiting and building a high-quality engineering team

What We Are Looking For

• Experience with Ruby on Rails, RSpec and Active Admin
• Senior level understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances
• Good understanding of Ruby/Rails ecosystem, gems
• Experience with GO or Python is a plus.
• Experience working on a framework/library such as Elasticsearch, AWS Services, Database Management (PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and React is a plus.
• Passion for finding and sharing best practices and driving discipline for superior code quality
• Resourceful - we don’t expect you to know all the answers right away, but we want you to research and learn on the go, to get the job done right.
